FRONTLINE HIV Forum Meeting December 2011
Date: 7th December 2011
Time: 6:00pm - 8:00pm
Attendees: 6
Apologies: 1
The next ordinary meeting of the Forum will be held at the Kobler Clinic, Wednesday 1st February 2012, on the 4th Floor of the St Stephens Centre, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.
This document details the discussions held by the Frontline Forum members at the last meeting. They are not complete minutes, more notes or points loosely captured in no particular order; apologies for points missed. Many thanks go to those who participated, and well as to those who continue to contribute through the online forum.
Ageing Project
A Project Manager has been appointed. If the budget allows a second worker to coordinate volunteers may be possible. A meeting of the Steering Committee is scheduled for the 15th December.
Peer Support Programme
The joint programme from Chelsea and Westminster HIV Clinics and Terrence Higgins Trust to provide peer support for people with HIV, is looking for applicants. Peer Support Workers would train on the course to learn how to provide help and support to those who are newly diagnosed, or people who want to change their medication.
New Ward
The new ward building is to be finished soon. It is hoped that it will be completed in January.
AOB
A poster is to be drafted to invite people to attend the February meeting. Those attending will hear Jusuf Azad, Director of Policy and Campaigns at National Aids Trust, and Gary Alesso, South East London Sexual Health and HIV Network Manager, talk on NHS and Social Care Reform – What does this mean for HIV Services.
